The success of last seasons Grand Prix has encouraged organizers to build a long lasting legacy with Formula One and break-even on their substantial outlay within the next 5 to 7 years. The Buddh Circuit was made ready after a race against time at a cost of $450 million last October and was designed by Herman-Tilke. The 5.14km Circuit is located on the outskirts of Delhi and has also landed a 4 year contract to host  a round of FIM Superbike World Championship from next year which the organizers hope will further boost its financial viability.

The fans can watch the Airtel Indian Grand Prix by spending Rs.2000 as the organizers Jaypee Sports International Limited (JPSL) announced on October 4th the sale of single day tickets for all categories for the October 26th to 28th races. If you want a seat in the Main Grand Stand you’ll have to shell out Rs.21000 for the 3 days and if you’re somebody who just wants to watch the race on Sunday then the cost would be Rs.12000. “We are glad to announce the exciting one day passes for the second edition of the Indian Grand prix. F1 fans can avail these much awaited single day passes to experience the thrill and adrenaline of the race day,” said Sameer Gaur, MD & CEO, JPSI. For the Premium Stand, three-day ticket is for 10,000 and race-day ticket is available for Rs.7500. For the Star Stand, the passes are available for Rs.7500 and 5,000 and for Classic stand it is priced at Rs.6000 and 3500. The Sunday tickets are available on BookMyShow. They are also available in selected outlets in key metros from 11.00 am from October 5th 2012.

So here’s a golden opportunity for all the motor sports enthusiasts to experience the adrenaline rush of racing up close and personal. In addition to the roaring sound of the cars, fans will be treated to foot-tapping performances by ace-bollywood composers Vishal-Shekhar and singer Shaan. It will be an irresistible concoction of the adrenaline rush of F1 along with the glitz, and glamor on the track-side as several top cricketers will be gracing the event. Last year saw the flag off of the race by Sachin Tendulkar while team-mates Virendra Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh joined him in the paddock.

However, this year the cricket fraternity is set to make bigger presence. Apart from Sachin Tendulkar, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan have already confirmed to the organizers Jaypee Sports International Limited (JPSI) that they would be present for the race.  ”Most of the cricketers apart from Tendulkar will be guests of Sahara Force India. The Mumbai maestro, of course, is a good friend of Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone and he won’t miss this race for sure” a BIC official told TOI on Sunday. Sri Lankan cricket star Kumar Sangakkara has also confirmed his presence as well as Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza will be seen at the races during the weekend. So, what’s the wait?
