Archos Launching 3 new smartphones in May 2013

Archos smartphones are going to be the talk of the town after the company has revealed this week that it will be launching three smartphones in the month of May. The three phones have been introduced as Archos 48 Platinum, Archos 52 Titanium and Archos 35 Carbon. The new 48 Platinum Archos smartphones will be running Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

Archos 48 Platinum smartphone is the top on the line and will be equipped with a 4.8-inch IPS display, 800 x 1,280-pixel resolution and is powered by a MediaTek MT6589 chipset with a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, and is expected to retail for around $335.

Second in the line the mid-range 52 Titanium Archos smartphone has a 2-inch screen, 480 x 800 pixel resolution, powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, supported by 512 MB of RAM. However the price of this model has not yet been revealed.

Last but not the least is the budget range Archos 35 Carbon fitted with a  3.5-inch 320 x 480 resolution screen, powered by a single-core 1 GHz processor, supported by 512 MB of RAM, and is equipped with a microSD card slot to expand its 512MB of internal memory. The pricing on this product is around $120.

The company has been best known for bringing affordable tablets to users, is now branching into a very competitive territory, The decision to go the Google way in selecting their mobile platform sounds safe. It’s only going to be a two month wait before the success of the smartphones will be revealed!
