Ganapati Chaturthi is celebrated with lot of fervor and gaiety all across India. In plain terms, it is the birthday of the elephant God Lord Ganesh- the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. This auspicious day is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi.
