Indians are just as inspiring as others

Life is slow in developing countries; however, many inspiring people make this country move toward development. An idea is just as crucial as the perseverance of the innovator.

Lack of information about the Indians that have marked the country’s development has led to a demotivated thought process amongst the population.

Let’s take a look at those who make Indians all over the world proud.

A.P.J.Abdul Kalam

AKA Missile Man of India – The 11th president of India is a load of inspiration. His contribution to the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology is out of bounds. Mr.Kalam is a man with a vision who faced hurdles and overcame many obstacles. He has not only been a great contribution to the Indians.

His 79th Birthday was marked as Worlds student day by the UN! He has earned 40 honorary doctorates from across the world and received the highest civilian award in India, the Bharat Ratna.

Author of the book “India 2020”, Kalam addresses the issue of making India a knowledgeable and developed nation; he dreams and makes us want to dream. Kalam has always been a source of inspiration that isn’t bound by fear of the unknown.

Verghese Kurien

AKA Father of the White Revolution – Here is a man providing revolution, and many of us only know his company Amul! He started the world’s biggest agricultural developmental program. He took a milk deficient nation, i.e., India, to the largest milk producer in the world! Why is this significant?

Dairy farming is now India’s largest self-sustaining industry. One of the highlight achievements of his company Amul was the invention of milk powder of buffalo milk. His companies have employed several farmers across the nation and got millions out of poverty. His awards are Padma Vibhushan, World Food Prize, an international person of the year, etc.

Lakshmi Niwas Mittal

Owner of the world’s largest steel-making company, the chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal. A regular in the Forbes lists of the world’s most influential people, Lakshmi Mittal has set the bar high with the many responsibilities he manages. He not only keeps his head into entrepreneurial pursuits but is also a philanthropist.

He set up the Mittal Champions Trust, supporting promising candidates in Indian sports; Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and Usha Mittal Foundation are two foundations that have, in collaboration, opened education institutes. The Mittal children’s Medical center at the Great Osmond Street Hospital in London received a $15 Million donation in late 2000.

Pratap C Reddy

An Indian entrepreneur and cardiologist is the founder of the first commercial chain of hospitals in India, Apollo Hospitals Group. He has received a Padma Vibhushan for his contribution. Reddy is a doctor who lives as an inspiration for those who have found their career path but still expand. You can be everything you want if you are willing to work hard for it.

Prannoy LaL Roy

An Indian journalist, media personality, and mainly the co-founder and executive chairperson of NDTV (New Delhi Television). He started the NDTV Group with his wife after serving as an anchor, news reporter for years.

He took his talent a step forward and started his TV network. Several channels have been added to the network covering exclusive fields such as sports, lifestyle/entertainment, business, etc. NDTV has also gone international.
